Patricia Kay “Pat” Eaves, age 80, of Wever, Iowa, passed away peacefully at home on April 10, 2026, after a long illness. Pat was born in 1945 and grew up in Fort Madison, Iowa, where she graduated from Fort Madison High School. She worked hard her entire life, reflecting both her dedication and creativity. Early in life, she worked as a seamstress and as a cashier at HyVee. Later, she worked for many years as a florist and volunteer at the Salvation Army store.
Pat lived with the challenges of Marfan Syndrome from a young age. Despite a lifetime of medical problems, including multiple major surgeries and countless daily obstacles, she never complained, never felt sorry for herself, and never wanted to burden others with her struggles. Her quiet strength, resilience, and grace defined her life.
Above all, Pat was a loving and dedicated wife & mother. She had a rare ability to strike the perfect balance between understanding and encouragement, offering comfort when it was needed and a push when it mattered most.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Eaves; her sons, Cory Eaves, Jason Eaves, Alex Eaves, and Troy Eaves; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held for family only. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Pat’s memory may consider a donation to The Marfan Foundation. Online condolences to the Eaves family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
