Peter John Huppert, 31, of Keokuk, IA died Sunday, August 27, 2023 at his home.
He was born March 21, 1992 in Ft. Madison, IA the son of Patrick and Pam Day Huppert. He graduated from Ft. Madison High School with the class of 2010 and then attended Southeastern Community and received an Associate’s Degree in Maintenance Engineering.
On June 29, 2013 Peter was united in marriage to Chelsi Best at First Christian Church in Keokuk. She survives.
Other survivors include three sons, Jacoby Huppert, Robert Huppert and Padraic Huppert all of Keokuk, his father, Patrick Huppert of Ft. Madison, IA, two brothers, Billy Huppert (Dana) of Ft. Madison, IA and Jason Huppert (Michele) of Ft. Madison, IA and one nephew, Jace Huppert of Ft. Madison, IA. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Brenda Briggs Best of Keokuk, his father-in-law, Terry Best of Keokuk, and many in-laws and nephews he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pam Huppert, one brother, Greg Hathaway, maternal grandparents, Donald and Juanita Day, paternal grandparents, Steve and Carmen Huppert, one grandmother-in-law, Sandra Briggs and one uncle-in-law, Robert W. Briggs.
Peter was currently employed by South Iowa Area Detention Service Agency as a detention officer.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Keokuk.
Peter loved fixing computers and installing cameras. He enjoyed playing video games and spending time on his YouTube channel, Coffinpoe. Peter had a kind heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand to others.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at the Vigen Memorial Home in Keokuk.
Visitation will be held after 1 p.m. Friday with the family meeting with friends from 5 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
