Anonymous donor gives $25k to K-9 effort

FORT MADISON – Lee County Sheriff's Department received good news today in their efforts to fund a K-9 unit in Lee County.

Lee County Sheriff Stacy Weber said an anonymous donor has stepped forward with a $25,000 donation to the Lee County K-9 effort. Weber has indicated that eventually he'd like to have two dogs in the program and this may enable him to do that after speaking with the board at a future date.
