WATERLOO – FMHS’ Dante Seaney and Johnny Hernandez ran up against a tall and athletic Spencer team in their first match at state in Waterloo at the Byrne Tennis Park.

The FMHS duo took Spencer’s Cade Carpenter and Marcus Klemme to a five deuce second game in the first set but lost the game and went on to lose the set. At 0-2 in the second set, the Hounds got on the board with a service game win, but then lost the next four straight to surrender the match.

The loss moved them to the consolation bracket where they will face Ballard’s Mark Moser and Brody Echer at about 1:15 p.m.
