HTC junior high loses first game

KEOSAUQUA – The Holy Trinity seventh grade softball team lost it’s first game of the season Tuesday 12-6 at Van Buren.

Mary Hellige struck out four batters on the mound, while contributing a single and an RBI at the plate.

Anna Sobczak had a triple, a walk and two runs scored for the Crusaders. Raquel Schneider walked twice and scored once, while Brooke Mueller had a single, two walks and a run scored. Kayla Box had a walk and a single. Laura Mehmert walked twice and Jenna DiPrima had a walk and a single. Kelli Meierotto had a walk and a single and Alexa Dingman had a single and a run scored.

The Crusaders are now 2-1 on the young season and travel to Central Lee on Friday.
