While parts of the western corn belt, especially parts of Kansas could receive substantial rainfall, and Oklahoma and Texas will receive excessive amounts, the central and eastern corn belt looks like it will remain unusually dry.
In fact, well-below-normal rainfall is expected over the next 2 weeks.

Rainfall deficits over the next 32 days could near 2 inches over a majority of the central and eastern corn belt.
After a cool-down later this week, temperatures will again warm above seasonal normal early in October.
