IN REMEMBRANCE OF THOSE WE LOVE

William H. Koellner, 82, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 5:23 p.m. on Friday, March 9, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City.  He was born on February 11, 1936 in Burlington, IA to Paul & Helen Krieger Koellner.  He married Jane M. Pollmeier on August 30, 1958 in Fort Madison, IA.  He was a hospital administrator for Sacred Heart Hospital & Fort Madison Community Hospital and hospitals in Bloomfield, IA, Bethany, MO & Scotland, SD.  He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Knights of Columbus and the Fort Madison Rotary Club.  He enjoyed gardening and yardwork.

Bill is survived by: his wife: Jane Koellner of Fort Madison, IA; 2-sons: Tim (Pam) Koellner of O’Fallon, MO & Mark Koellner of Fort Madison, IA; 3-daughters: Ann (Tony) Pesnell of Tucson, AZ, Kelly (Ernie) Marsan of Huntington, CT & Sarah (Tony) Hughes of Urbandale, IA; 1-granddaughter: Hannah Hughes of Urbandale, IA; 7-step grandchildren; 10-step great grandchildren; 1-brother: Paul (Mary Ann) Koellner of Portage, MI; 2-sister in laws: Julia Koellner of Fort Madison, IA & Patti Koellner of South Bend, IN.  He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-granddaughter: Shelby Hughes, 1-step granddaughter: Falynn Lewis, 2-brothers: Pat & John.

Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 12, 2018 where the family will receive friends from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a Christian Wake Service to be held at 6:30 p.m. on Monday evening at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The family will also receive friends from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Ss. Mary & Joseph Church with Rev. Mark P.
