Kruse leads FMMS girls with 12

WASHINGTON – The Fort Madison Middle School girls split with Washington in eighth grade girls basketball action Monday night.

The Fort Madison A Team won 38-11, Fort Madison’s B team lost the second game 3-5.

The Bloodhounds were led by Camille Kruse with 12 points, followed by Isabella Boeding with nine points, MeKenna Cashman had eight points followed by Molly Knipe with seven and Ivy Arnold with two. The Bloodhounds went 18 of 37 from the field.

Leading rebounders were Cashman with eight, Knipe had seven and Emily Steffensmeier with three, Boeding, Kruse, and Ivy Arnold had one rebound apiece. Assist leaders were Kruse with seven followed by Cashman with two, Isabella Boeding and Molly Knipe had one assist each.

In the B game, Steffensmeier led Fort Madison with two points and Arnold had one point. Leading the Bloodhounds in rebounds was Rylee Dubois with two followed by Cashman, Steffensmeier, Arnold, Ran Deltetsen, Eveonna Smutney, Edlicia Smutney and Kayley Noble with one rebound each.

The Bloodhounds play Keokuk at home on Tuesday, Nov. 27 at 4:30 p.m.
