Hunter Anthony Vorwaldt, 11, of Donnellson, Iowa, passed away at 11:31 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2019, at his home in Donnellson.
He was born June 21, 2007, in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Devin Joseph and Stephanie Marie (Ferris) Vorwaldt.
Survivors include his parents: Devin and Stephanie; one sister: Jordan Vorwaldt; one brother: Jayden Vorwaldt; grandparents: Jay and Dawn Ferris, Sheila Vorwaldt, Howard and Diana Vorwaldt; great grandparents: Bill & Mary Brown, Eileen Vorwaldt and Mary Starr; aunts and uncles: Danny and Cara Ferris, Ashley Ferris, Brianna Ferris, Shelby and Johnny Johnson and Jegger Vorwaldt. Also surviving are several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Junior Vorwaldt, Joseph Starr and Jim and Mary Ferris.
Hunter had completed sixth grade at the Central Lee School System. He enjoyed all sports including football, basketball, riding his bike, making ramps and dirt track racing. He was an avid fan of the Golden State Warriors basketball team and the Carolina Panther football team. He also enjoyed his puppies Izzy and Mer-Bear.
Friends may call after 12:00 noon, Friday, June 7, 2019, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson where the family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Schmitz Funeral Home in Donnellson with Heather Fuger officiating.
Burial will be at the Zion Mennonite Cemetery rural Donnellson, Iowa.
