Clay Crusher rookies take 3rd at MP

MT. PLEASANT - The Fort Madison Clay Crushers trap shooting team placed 3rd and 4th place Saturday at the Mt. Pleasant Panther Invitational.

The rookie squad brought home the 3rd-place finish with an overall score of 135, an 46-target improvement over last week's effort. Cade Blind, Tyler Carson, Gabe Keppel, Luke Kruse and Konnar McFadden shot for the rookie squad.

The IA squad finished in 4th place with a score of 182 behind the efforts of Albert Kruse, Owen Krogmeier, JJ Hasenclever, Jake Ehlers and Cruz Hunold.

The junior varsity squad improved by one target over last week with a score of 221. Brett Azinger, Drew Davis, Edward Schroeder, Trevor Edwards and Trey Edwards shot for the jayvee squad.

Albert Kruse took fifth place individually with a 44. Schroeder took 3rd in singles junior varsity with a 48 and Abram Lorence was first with a 49 in singles varsity. Kiley Bohenkamp brought home a 5th place medal in ladies junior varsity with a 42.
