BURLINGTON - Officials with the 2025 Upper Mississippi, Illinois Missouri Rivers Association (UMIMRA)/Corn Belt Ports (CBP)/Mid-America Port Commission (MAPC) Annual Meeting that was scheduled for Feb. 12-13 in Burlington, IA have announced its cancellation due to the pending winter storm for the Tri-State region.
According to a release, "safety of our attendees is our number one priority."
Officials said they will be re-scheduling the meeting and are currently looking at possible dates in mid-March or the first week of April to hold the event. Once the new dates are finalized, additional details will be released.
Refunds will be issued to attendees who have already registered and paid for their registration fee and are not able to attend the re-scheduled dates.
"Maintaining and improving the navigation and flood control of the Upper Mississippi River Basin is important to America’s long-term economic growth and our national security. The annual meeting gives attendees an opportunity to network and learn from others to find solutions that will improve inland ports, navigation, reduce flood damages, protect property, and support local economies and communities."
