Thomas Michael Slowick, affectionately known as “Tommy Boy,” was born on April 21, 1970, in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, to Jacqueline Ann Foy and Robert Frank Slowick. Tom passed away on December 1, 2024, in Nauvoo, Illinois, leaving behind a legacy of humor, generosity, and love.
For over 30 years, Tom delighted in finding new ways to lovingly pester the love of his life, Tina Simmons of Nauvoo IL. Known for his unique sense of humor and larger-than-life personality, Tom brought joy and laughter to everyone he met. He would gladly give the shirt off his back to help someone in need, embodying a selfless spirit that touched countless lives.
Tom had a passion for coin collecting, always dreaming of discovering that elusive $50 million penny. While he never found it, he cherished the hunt and the stories behind each coin he collected.
He is survived by his beloved Tina; their son, Jordan, along with Jordan’s wife Alicia and their children; Kelly Primmer (Simmons) and her children and Beau Simmons, all of whom he loved as his own; his brother Brian; sister Kerry (Mark) Siegfred of Nauvoo. Also, his nieces, Hailey, Hannah, Amber Brittany, Courtney and a Great Nephew, Denver. Many Aunts, Uncles and cousins living in the Chicago area. All of whom he treasured and loved greatly.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents Jackie and Rob; grandparents and JD Simmons a son he cherished as his own.
Tom’s family will honor his wishes with no formal services. Cremation rites have been accorded at Schmitz-Bank & Beals Funeral Home of Nauvoo.
Tom’s memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His humor, kindness, and unforgettable presence will be missed but never forgotten.
