City Band directors thank community

Dear Editor:

On behalf of the members and directors of the Ft. Madison City Band, we would like to show our appreciation for their financial support for our Summer concerts: Joan B. Weiser, Birkwood Village of Ft. Madison, ImOn Communications, Linda Smith, Chad & Rebecca Hannum, Gene & Sherri Enke, Chuck Holmes, Tyler & Lori Bowen, the Ft. Madison Lions Club, Connection Bank, Jason & Laura Liegois and Jane Wentzien.

We would also like to thank the Ft. Madison Rotary Club for keeping Central Park and the Gazebo in beautiful condition for all of our Community to enjoy. Justina Cullen, City Clerk, and Laura Liegois, City Manager, fundraise to pay the City Band members and directors a stipend for their time and talent.  We appreciate the Daily Democrat and the Pen City Current for promoting our concerts.  During inclement weather, we enjoyed staying dry and cool at the Ft. Madison United Methodist Church.

We hope the Ft. Madison Community continues supporting live music by attending Richie Lee & The Pen City Cruisers in Old Settlers Park on Friday, July 24th.  Food will begin at 4:30pm.  Invite your family and friends to enjoy more music in our parks!

Sincerely,

Lisa Knipe & Colin DePriest
