Dept. of Energy official to visit Denmark Thursday

Contingent of IEDA, Access Energy, and DOE officials to talk about grid resiliency

DENMARK – Staff from the U.S. Department of Energy will be in southeast Iowa on Thursday to review project sites and talk about the area’s utility and grid resilience projects.
The event will start in Danville where the DOE’s Office of Electricity Chief of Staff David Denton will visit the Danville Fire Station at 207 N. Elm Street to give an overview of projects in the area.

Denton will be joined by officials from Iowa Economic Development Authority, Access Energy and the City of Danville.
The group will then move to the Shepherd Street Primary and Secondary project site in Danville from 10:15 to 10:45 a.m. for a site visit.
The group will then travel to Access Energy Coop’s project site in Denmark at 2949 156th Street for a site visit and question and answer from 11:15 a.m. to noon.
