Five injured in Sunday rollover

One airlifted after being ejected from vehicle

LEE COUNTY - A single-vehicle rollover occurred on Highway 27 just north of the 255th Street intersection.
The vehicle reportedly left the roadway into the median. The driver then overcorrected, causing the vehicle to leave the roadway on the east side and roll over.

The vehicle was occupied by five individuals; an adult female driver, an adult male passenger, and three child passengers all from out of state. All occupants were transported to the hospital for evaluation and treatment. One passenger was ejected during the crash.
Responding agencies included the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, West Point/ Donnellson PD, Lee County EMS, MedForce, Air Evac, Argyle and Donnellson Volunteer Fire Departments.
The incident remains under investigation by the Iowa State Patrol.
