Fort Madison Police Report
11/19/24 – 4:13 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1900 block of 48th Street.
Keokuk Police Report
10/29/24 – 3:11 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a two-vehicle accident in the 2100 block of Plank Road. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Bailie Jean Dakota Eli Gilpin, 21, struck the back end of a vehicle driven by Curtis Charles Bertschi, 60, of Hamilton as Bertschi was stopped waiting to turn south into a parking lot. Gilpin was cited for failure to stop in assured clear distance. Bertschi said he would drive himself to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison following the accident.
11/18/24 – 11:06 a.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of larceny/theft in the 200 block of Des Moines Street.
11/18/24 – 4:20 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a larceny/theft in the 1200 block of Johnson Street.
11/18/24 – 8:46 p.m. – Keokuk police responded to a report of a burglary in the 200 block of N. 8th Street.
Lee County Sheriff’s Report
11/18/24 – 12:38 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alonzo Tyrone Brewer, 54, of Keokuk, at the S. Lee County Courthouse, on a temporary hold. He was held in Lee County Jail.
Those listed above should be and are presumed to be innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

11/18/24 – Fort Madison firefighters responded to two medical calls.
