WEST BURLINGTON – Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center with campuses in West Burlington and Fort Madison has been surveyed by the Center for Improvement in Healthcare Quality (CIHQ) and has successfully met the requirements for Hospital Accreditation by demonstrating compliance with CIHQ Standards and the Conditions of Participation by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. This recognition reflects the hospital’s continuous commitment to safety and quality patient care.
Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center underwent a rigorous unannounced onsite assessment in November. The CIHQ team toured the hospital, reviewed medical records, observed care practices, and interviewed staff and patients.
“CIHQ’s goal is to partner with hospitals to improve the care provided in our communities,” states Richard Curtis, Chief Executive Officer of CIHQ. “CIHQ is proud to recognize Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center for achieving accreditation.”
“We are dedicated to providing high-quality care in a safe environment throughout the health system. The accreditation from CIHQ validates the outstanding effort our staff commits to this pursuit. We are very proud of this accomplishment and all it means for our patients,” commented Christin Pritchard, Vice President of Quality at Great River Health.
