Luenda “Lue” A. Muth, 70, of Fort Madison, passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

She was born on October 26, 1952 in Ft. Madison to Jerry and Lola Manka Boyer.  On June 26, 1988 she married John Muth in Ft. Madison. Lue was a 1971 graduate of Ft. Madison High School.  She was a licensed cosmetologist and also worked at Sheaffer Pen for fifteen years.  After Sheaffers she began her lifetime career as a loving Mom.  Because of Nico and Cory being graduates of Iowa State, she was an avid Cyclone fan. Lue loved to cook, she especially enjoyed cooking traditional holiday meals that her family looked forward to every year.  She loved animals, especially her cats.  Lue looked forward to the rodeo time every year and attending the parade.  Anytime there was a dinner, cookout or gathering she was the first to pitch in with cleanup.

Survivors include her husband, John Muth of Ft. Madison; two sons, Nico (Becky) Muth of Cedar Rapids and Cory Muth of Indianola; four brothers, Rich (Jan) Boyer of Ft. Madison, Jay (Denise) Boyer of West Point, Bill (Conni) Boyer of Ft. Madison and Kirk Boyer of Ft. Madison; sister-in-law, Karen (Terry) Hope of Ft. Madison and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Per her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 1-4 PM at the Eagles Club in Ft. Madison.  A private family burial will be held in Gethsemane Cemetery.

A memorial has been established in her memory and online condolences may be left at www.kinglynk.com.
