Paul E. Hardy, 78, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 12:56 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington, IA. He was born on April 29, 1944 in Fort Madison, IA to Eugene & Clementine Wussler Hardy. He worked at the Chevron Chemical Company for many years. He married Vera J. Coyle on July 31, 1972 in Carthage, IL. He is survived by: his wife: Vera Hardy of Fort Madison, IA; 3-sons: David (Shelly) Hardy of Niota, IL, Tony (Eddeana) Hardy of Montrose, IA & John (Diane) Holtz of St. Joseph, MO; 3-daughters: Joann (Bill) Nielson of Davenport, IA, Rebecca Holtz of Cedar Rapids, IA & Karen (Glenn) Simmons of Anderson, SC; several grandchildren & great grandchildren and 1-brother: Ralph (Bonnie) Hardy of Sandusky, IA. He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-grandson: Matthew Hardy and 2-sisters: Bernadette & Marcella.
