William Eugene Honeycutt, lovingly known as Billy, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026 at his home.  He was born on September 8, 1970, in Laramie, Wyoming. He graduated from Laramie High School and later attended Wyoming Technical College, where he earned a degree in Automation Technology.
Billy made his home in Fort Madison, Iowa, where he lived for more than 10 years and worked at Axalta. He was not a man of many words, but once you got him talking, he could talk! Although he often kept to himself, Billy loved his family dearly. He was also known for his wonderful sense of humor, his love of sports, and his ability to make others laugh. When he was younger, Billy loved bowling with his family and spending countless nights playing softball. He also enjoyed playing video games and cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Phillies, and Michigan Wolverines. He especially loved watching sports and talking about them with anyone who would listen. Billy also had a special place in his heart for his dogs, who brought him comfort, companionship, and countless happy moments.
Billy is survived by his brother, Kirk (Nicole) Honeycutt of Brighton, Michigan, and their six sons: Christian, Noah, Nicholas, Nash, Kane, and Caleb. He is also survived by his uncle, Wayne Lorton; and his cousins, Terry Lorton, Bobby Lorton, Trevor Lorton, Savannah Lorton, and Kynlee Lorton all of Fort Madison, Iowa.  Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Elizabeth Honeycutt and his Aunt Shirley Lorton.
Billy will be remembered for his humor, his love of sports, video games, and his dogs, and, most of all, for the laughter and cherished memories he shared with those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  A memorial service will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Chad Savage officiating.  A memorial has been established in Billy’s memory.  Online condolences to the Honeycutt family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
