Clarence H. “Skip” Ramsey, 74, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, December 15, 2024 at his sister’s home in Fort Madison. He was born on December 3, 1950 in Fort Madison, IA to Charles R. & Lucille M. Williams Ramsey. He married Lynn Rempe and they later divorced. He then married Gina McKeehan and they later divorced. He was a bricklayer most of his life and loved sports. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers fan and enjoyed going to watch baseball games while living in Phoenix, AZ.
Skip is survived by: 2-daughters: Julia Estelle of Phoenix, AZ & Michelle (Emerson) Johnson of Fort Madison, IA; 1-son: Mark (Samantha) Ramsey of Los Angeles, CA; 7-grandchildren: Jacob, Madison, Carson, Mahra, Justin, Roland & Josephine; 2-great grandchildren: Aubrey & Maurice; 4-sisters: Stevie (Bill) Harkey of Shawano, WI, Peggy Mitchell of Keokuk, IA, Kim (Jan) Jud of Fort Madison, IA & Tracey (Doug) Davis of West Point, IA; 1-aunt: Leah Malard of Bismarck, ND and several nieces, nephews & cousins. He was preceded in death by: his parents, 1-son: Michael Ramsey & 1-brother-in-law: David Rehm.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20, 2024 at King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory. A memorial service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Chad Savage officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery. A memorial has been established for Iowa Community Care Foundation.
