Partners hosting candidate forum Wednesday

FORT MADISON - The Fort Madison Partners will be hosting a candidate forum on Wednesday, October 25^th in the council chambers 811 Ave E. The plan is also to live stream it, as well as record it for later viewing.  The Forum is scheduled to begin at 5:30 and end no later than 7:00 pm.  We will have a moderator asking questions and keep track of time.  All candidates will have an opportunity to answer the questions as they pertain to that seat- example: if a question is directed at the mayoral candidates only those three will answer, etc.  As Wards with seats up for re-election: 1, 2, 3, & 5 are running unopposed, they will not be on the panel. The focus will be on the Mayor and At-Large open race.
None of the candidates will receive questions prior to the forum.  Audience members will have the opportunity to write their questions out upon arrival and have their questions asked, as time allows, but all questions will be evaluated and asked by the moderator during the forum’s scheduled time.
We look forward to helping inform the general public about who is running and helping them make an informed decision when it comes to voting for the leaders of our community.
