Pence to hold town hall at Kingsley

Former Vice President to meet voters tonight in Fort Madison.

FORT MADISON – Presidential candidate Mike Pence will visit Fort Madison Thursday as part of a campaign swing through the state.
According to James Creen, Chairman of Lee County Republicans, Pence will hold a meet-and-greet as part of a Fort Madison Town Hall starting at 6 p.m. at the Kingsley Inn at 707 Avenue H in Fort Madison.
Pence joins a heavy field of Republicans led by former President Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis.
Other candidates include Vivek Ramaswamy, a 38-year-old tech entrepreneur and author. He’s the youngest candidate in the field. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley is also in the field along with South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott; former New Jersey Governon Chris Christie; North Dakota Governor Doug Burgum; former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson; conservative talk show host Larry Elder; former Texas Rep. Will Hurd; and Michigan businessman Perry Johnson.Miami Mayor Francis Suarez suspended his campaign on Tuesday.
