FORT MADISON - Promoting Outdoor Recreational Trails (PORT) of Fort Madison will be hosting a Rock-n-Roll Family Fun Run on Saturday, October 10th. This family-friendly event will take place on the Rodeo connector portion of the PORT trail and start at the trailhead by the pavilion and giant horseshoe starting at 10 a.m.
Registration will take place on the day of the event starting at 9:30 a.m. with registration fees of $20 for an individual and $40 for a family. Cash or check only. Each registered participant will receive a pair of sunglasses courtesy of Connection Bank. Music will be provided by Erik with Pool 19 made possible by Jess Sutcliffe- State Farm Insurance. Participants will navigate the 5K route taking part in themed activities along the trail.
“We want this to be a fun morning spent on the PORT trails with music, activities, and food. Bring the entire family, get some fresh air and exercise while supporting a great cause,” expressed Tim Gobble, Chairperson of the PORT of Fort Madison committee.
Grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, cookies, and water will be available after the fun run provided by the Fort Madison Lion’s Club with donations from Fareway and Hy-Vee.
