Posted

Shirley Ann (Mason) Phillips, 84, of Warsaw, Illinois, departed this life to meet her Lord on Saturday, September 24, 2022, surrounded by her family at her home in Warsaw, Illinois.

Shirley was born on January 21, 1938, in Warsaw, Illinois, the daughter of Annie (Hank) Acker and Albert Mason. She was united in marriage to the love of her life Robert G. Phillips on June 13, 1956. Robert passed away on May 12, 2018. Shirley went to school in Warsaw and got her GED later in life. She was a born-again Christian, and her greatest joy was giving to others and spending time with her family. Shirley loved to travel, especially to Branson at Christmas time. She was a member of the Warsaw Assembly of God. So many were touched by her loving and giving heart. She was a stay-at-home mom (and she was the best) to her four children: Kathy A. (John) Happs of Sutter, Illinois, Roberta L. Finton of Quincy, Illinois, Truman H. (Annie) Phillips and Evelyn L. (Dan) Terrell, both of Warsaw. Shirley had fourteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband Robert; her parents; her sisters Mary and Leola; brothers Jim, Pat, Sam, Everett, Edwin and Harold; and her son-in-law Steve Finton.

Funeral services will be held at 10 am Friday, September 30, 2022, at Printy Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Rev. John Happs officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Warsaw. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, September 29, from 2 to 7 pm, with family meeting friends from 5 to 7 pm.

A memorial fund has been established.
