Resident says Schulz is most qualified - Letter to the Editor

Dear Editor

Our elected mayor's job is to ensure our community’s safety, promote a positive environment for families to live, students to learn, and businesses to grow. The mayor’s role is to create a shared vision, build partnerships, and ensure town staff have the direction and stability they need to execute. Tom's experience serving on boards and in local government for many years gives him the knowledge to build coalitions and deliver solid results. We live in a community surrounded by talented and educated people. Tom is passionate about making this a thriving, economically viable, and sustainable environment for our families, students, and tourists. He makes himself easy to talk to, approachable, and visible in the city. You will see him at many events, including city meetings, rallies, charity events, and meetings with organizations. Fort Madison deserves a mayor who knows how to get things done. Experience and service matter. He will make a fair and hard-working mayor dedicated to leading with transparency, considering many viewpoints, and building community consensus. We could not ask for a more qualified mayor!
