FINDING YOUR FORT MADISON

Spooky times ahead in Fort Madison

Posted

The weather is finally cooling down, which means it’s time to dust off the cobwebs (for decoration this time), find the perfect costumes for the kids, and pick out a pumpkin big enough to double as both home décor and an arm workout. October is in full swing, and Fort Madison is packed with spooky fun all month long!
Festivities kick off October 24 with the Haunted Escape Room at the Fort Madison Public Library, plus the YMCA Trunk or Treat, where candy and costumes take center stage.
The Halloween excitement continues with Hy-Vee’s Trick or Treat and the ever-popular Old Settlers Park Halloween event, where hundreds of kids collect treats from local businesses and enjoy the playground in their costumes — perfect for adorable photo ops! Over at Appleberry Orchard, the Cider Run Car Show adds shiny cars, apple goodies, and even a petting zoo to the mix.
October 31 is the night that every kid waits for. It’s Beggar’s Night around the area and Fort Madison will celebrate between 5-7pm along with treats and a tour of the Old Lee County Jail!
