Vigen Memorial Home obituary - Ralph G. Akers, 76, Keokuk

Ralph Gregory Akers, 76, of Keokuk, Iowa passed away Sunday, March 10th at Montrose Health Center after a brief illness. 
He was born on November 20th, 1947 in Keokuk, Iowa, the only son of Ralph H. and Dorothy E. Vogel Akers. He married Betty Jo Asbury in 1970. They later divorced. 
He attended Keokuk Senior High School. He later worked for the City of Keokuk Water Department for over 30 years until his retirement.
Survivors include one daughter, Stasia (Jonathan) Beekhuizen of Hamilton, one grandson, Riley Beekhuizen of Chicago, Illinois, and one granddaughter, Hannah Beekhuizen of Chicago, Illinois.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Per his request, cremation rights have been accorded and burial will take place at a later date in the Oakland Cemetery in Keokuk, IA.
