FINDING YOUR FORT MADISON

Wine & Beer Walk brings cheers to holiday season

Posted

Fort Madison is easing into the holiday season this Friday with the 15th Annual Wine & Beer Walk, brought to you by the Fort Madison Beautification Foundation. From 5 to 8 p.m., downtown transforms into one big strolling celebration—good drinks, good company, and a great excuse to stop into shops you may not have visited in a while.
I’ve always loved this event. There’s something about wandering from store to store with friends, sipping something new, and finding a few early holiday gifts that just feels right. It’s casual, it’s festive, and it’s one of those “only in Fort Madison” nights that reminds you why our downtown is such a gem.

This year, I’ll be doing more than wandering—I’m jumping behind the table to help Green Frog Distillery share samples of their delicious whiskeys with the masses. You’ll find me set up at Boozy Rae’s, armed with Carmel, Cranberry, Coffee, and Barrel-Aged whiskey. If you’ve been curious about any of them, this is your moment. Stop by, say hello, and grab a sip while you warm up between shops.
So call your friends, bundle up, and come downtown for an easy, fun Friday night. Whether you’re tasting, shopping, or just enjoying the atmosphere, it’s the perfect way to start the holiday season in Fort Madison. Let’s fill the sidewalks and make this 15th year one of the best yet!
