FORT MADISON, Iowa – The Fort Madison Family YMCA is saying thank you to those who have served our country by offering free use of its facility to local veterans throughout the month of November.
From November 1 through November 30, 2026, veterans can enjoy full access to the YMCA, including fitness areas, the pool, and group exercise classes, at no cost. Veterans simply need to present Veteran
Identification to take advantage of the offer. No additional restrictions apply.
The YMCA hopes this small gesture gives local veterans an opportunity to take time for themselves, focus on their health and wellness, and enjoy the facilities and programs available at the Y.

“Our veterans have given so much, and we want them to know how much we appreciate their service,” said Ryan Wilson, Executive Director of the Fort Madison Family YMCA. “Offering free access to our facility is a small way for us to say thank you. We hope our local veterans will stop in, take advantage of this opportunity, and feel welcome at their YMCA.”
The Fort Madison Family YMCA encourages community members to share the offer with veterans they know, helping spread the word to those who may benefit from it.
Veterans are welcome to visit the YMCA anytime during November and present their Veteran Identification to receive free facility access.
The Fort Madison Family YMCA is proud to be part of a community that supports those who have served, and extends its sincere thanks to all veterans for their service and sacrifice.
