The Lee County Health Department is holding a senior health clinic in Keokuk from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the River Terrace and and immunization clinic at Trinity Methodist Church from noon to 4:30 p.m. Additional information can be found at www.leecountyhd.org. On July 15th, Family Connections will meet at the Madison Baptist Church in Fort Madison from 5 to 6 p.m.. Childcare is provided.
Lee County Fair
The oldest county fair in Iowa continues at the Lee County Fairgrounds in Donnellson with action packed evening activities, carnival, food, music, games and more. See leecountyfairiowa.com for more details and scheduling.
City Band Concerts
The Fort Madison City Band on Sunday July 14 beginning at 7:30 is sponsored by the Columbus Club/Knights of Columbus, Joan Weiser and DuPont. The final performance on July 21 will feature the Nauvoo Bagpipers at 6:45 and and the regular concert at 7:30 with sponsors to be announced.
SCC Alumni golf outing
The annual fundraiser outing is set for July 19th begging at 11 a.m. with a box lunch and 12:30 shotgun start at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course. Rates are $90 per person and $600 for a team. Sponsorships are available Contact Val Giannettino for more information at 319-208-5056 or email@example.com.
FMAAA Summer Kids Camp
From July 9-12th from 1 to 4 p.m. the Fort Madison Area Arts Association will again host the Summer Art Camp. Tuesday is from ages 5-7 for $25. Wednesday through Friday is for ages 8-12 for $75. Snacks are included each day. Call FMAAA to secure your spot at 319-372-3996.
Farmer’s Markets at the Fort Madison Depot will start Monday June 3 and run every Monday through Sept. 30 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Old Santa Fe Depot. Every second Monday is Kid’s Day at the Market.
The Kensington is offering Senior’s Only Community Bingo on the second Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m. The event is free for seniors and cash prizes are awarded. Caregivers Connection is held the 4th Tuesday of every month at noon. Call 319-372-4233 to reserve your seat.
The annual festival on the riverfront in Fort Madison features a national rock and alternative rock lineup with family fun, games, a 5K run, a cornhole tournament and much much more from Aug. 1-4 in Riverview Park in downtown Fort Madison.
