Danville rallies to down Lady Crusaders by one

Holy Trinity has lost 3 of last 4 as second half of season heats up

DANVILLE – The Holy Trinity girls' basketball team slipped into a tie for second place in the SEI Superconference south division after falling to Danville Tuesday night 43-42.
The Lady Crusaders faded in the fourth quarter spotting the Bears a 15-12 advantage, which turned out to be the difference in the game at Danville.
Holy Trinity held a slim one-point lead going into the half and the third quarter before Danville put up their biggest quarter of the night.
HTC (9-3, 6-3) has lost three of their last four entering the second half of the season. Central Lee downed Burlington Notre Dame Tuesday to improve to 6-3 and the two teams have split conference games this season.
The Crusaders didn’t have anyone in double figures, but had four players with nine points each including Adalyn Kruse, Teagan Snaadt, and Olivia and Anna Bendlage.
The Crusaders host West Burlington (3-10) Friday night on the Athletic Department’s annual Cake Auction night.
