01/11/24 – 8:57 a.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Alexander Xavier Luna, 35, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee County Courthouse on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
01/11/24 – 9:30 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 800 block of Avenue E.
01/11/24 – 10:22 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of vandalism in the 500 block of Avenue C.
01/11/24 – 12:03 p.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 2400 block of Avenue L.
01/11/24 – 3:44 p.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Austin Dean Schuelka, 34, of Fort Madison in the 800 block of Avenue G, on a warrant for probation violation. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
01/11/24 – 5:00 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the Fort Madison area.
01/11/24 – 6:17 p.m. – Fort Madison police responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 5600 block of Avenue O.
01/13/24 – 8:00 a.m. – Fort Madison Police responded to a report of a property damage accident in the 800 block of Avenue E.
01/13/24 – 4:55 p.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Amber Lynn McWhortor, 35, of Fort Madison, in the 2200 block of Avenue I, on a warrant for failure to appear. She was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
01/15/24 – 11:14 p.m. – Fort Madison Police arrested Jeramy Francis Skelton, 33, of Fort Madison, in the 2800 block of Avenue L, on a warrant for violation of pretrial release. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.

Keokuk Police Report
01/11/24 – 10:40 a.m. – Keokuk Police arrested a 17-year-old female in the 1400 block of Orleans Avenue on a charge of disorderly conduct. She was released to a parent.
01/11/24 – 9:56 p.m. – Keokuk Police cited Ike Lavern Byers, 30, of Keokuk in the 100 block of 13th Street, on a charge of driving under suspension.
01/12/24 – 7:39 p.m. – Keokuk Police cited Nicholas Taylor Bender, 25, of Keokuk in the 3300 block of Main Street on a charge of driving under suspension.
01/13/24 – 10:03 a.m. – Keokuk Police cited Jason Ray Runge, 49, of Hamilton in the 2100 block of Main Street on a charge of disorderly conduct.
01/13/24 – 5:03 p.m. – Keokuk Police cited Mia Natasia Mitchell, 21, of Keokuk, in the 3200 block of Main Street, on a charge of 5th degree theft.
01/14/23 – 3:18 p.m. – Keokuk Police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the 1400 block of Bank Street. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Karen Sue Hoadley, 55, of Keokuk was northbound at the intersection of 14th Street and Bank and a vehicle driven by Brooke Autum Evans, 29, of Keokuk was also at the intersection. Evans was northbound and slid into Hoadley due to weather conditions. Evans was cited for driving under suspension.
01/15/24 – 5:49 p.m. – Keokuk Police cited Ethen Shane Howard, 26, of Donnellson, in the 1200 block of Exchange Street, on a charge of driving under suspension.
01/15/24 – 10:35 p.m. – Keokuk Police cited Matthew Thomas Miller, 26, of Keokuk, in the 800 block of Franklin St, on a charge of driving under suspension.

Lee County Sheriff’s Report
01/11/24 – 3:08 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian James Abel, 38, of Fort Madison at the North Lee County Courthouse on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
01/11/24 – 6:36 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Raymond Earl Gonzalez, 35, of Fort Madison, at the North Lee County Courthouse on a warrant for failure to appear. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
01/12/24 – 6:50 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-vehicle accident near milemarker 23 on Hwy 61 northbound. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Brandon Michael Boyer, 29, of West Point struck a vehicle driven by Robert Lee Luy, 47, of West Burlington from the rear. Luy was extricated and taken to the hospital with injuries. Boyer was cited for failure to provide proof of insurance and no valid driver’s license. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
1/12/24 – 7:13 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 1900 block of Hwy. 27. According to the report a vehicle driven by Dakiarus Jahleel Clark, 24, of Shaw, Miss., lost control on iced roads and snow blocking both lanes of traffic. No injuries are citations were reported.
01/12/24 – 5:20 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident near milemarker 1 on Hwy. 27 northbound. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Jonathan I.S. Masupha, 26 of Chicago, struck a slick spot on the roadway and jacknifed the semi-tractor he was driving. He was able to drive the vehicle away without injury.
01/12/24 – 8:54 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one vehicle accident on Hwy 27 northbound. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Ermek Beisheev, 38, of Maineville, Ohio, lost control on slippery roads and jacknifed the semi-tractor and slid into the median. No injuries or citations were reported.
01/12/24 – 10:26 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident in the 2800 block of Hwy. 61. According to the report, a semi-trailer driven by Elena Blinova, 49, of Dania Beach, Fla., lost control on slick conditions northbound and jackknifed the semi causing damage to the vehicle but no injuries. No citations were reported.
01/13/24 – 10:07 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident near mile marker 1 on Hwy 27. According to the report, a vehicle driven by Lillian Mae Woods, 42, of Gulfport, Miss., lost control on slick conditions and rolled in the median causing severe damage. Woods was extricated from the vehicle and taken to Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison for treatment. No citations were issued.
01/15/24 – 12:02 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Charles Paul Jones, 31, of Keokuk, in the 3800 block of Main Street in Keokuk on a warrant for domestic abuse assault. He was taken to Lee County Jail and held.
01/15/24 – 12:49 p.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kirk Joseph Kowalski, 36, of Fort Madison on an active warrant, at the North Lee County Courthouse. He was taken to the Lee County Jail and held.
01/16/24 – 4:45 a.m. – Lee County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a one-vehicle accident at Hwy. 61 and Green Bay Road. According to the report, a semi-trailer driven by Makayla Angelica Jones, 24, of Cincinnati, got stuck in a snow drift after sliding on icy roads. No injuries or citations were issued.
