FORT MADISON - Fort Madison High School’s boys basketball team opens Class 3A substate play on the road.
The Bloodhounds (10-8), the sixth seed in Substate 5, play at No. 3 seed Williamsburg (12-7) on February 19. The winner of that game will play the winner of the quarterfinal between second-seed Clear Creek-Amana and No. 7 seed Washington on February 22.
Fort Madison and Williamsburg have played once this season, with Williamsburg winning 61-57 on December 2.
The other side of the bracket has No. 1 seed Solon playing host to Davis County and No. 4 seed Keokuk playing host to No. 5 seed Mount Pleasant in the quarterfinals.
The substate final will be February 26, with the winner advancing to the state tournament.
