DONNELLSON – The story continues to be written for what is shaping up to be one of the best boys golf season’s in Central Lee history.
The Hawks set another school record for 9-holes with a tight 145 taking all top six spots in a triangular with Danville and West Burlington/Notre Dame at Green Acres Thursday night.
Carson Morrison was medalist with a two-under 34 and Kaden Swan fired an even par 36 for runner-up. The next four spots were taken up by Hawks with Mylan Lowenberg shooting a 37, Caleb Larson came in at 38 and Hayden Welch and Carter Jones were each 3-over 39.
Danville’s Mattix Funald also shot a 39 and was the only other player to shoot under 40.
West Burlington/Notre Dame came in second with 164 and Danville shot a 168.

Keokuk girls shut out at Washington
KEOKUK - The Keokuk Chiefs ladies fell 0-7 at Washington and drop to 2-5 on the year (1-3 in conference). The Chiefs trailed 0-1 at halftime but missing five starters and a key sub caught up in the 2nd half.
Relina Wong had 15 saves in goal. Piper Conover, Divya Kirchner, Lizzy Mason, Addison Schulte, Hannah Rippenkroeger, and Kylie Watts showed improvement from the beginning of the year while playing extended minutes tonight. Keokuk travels to Centerville on Saturday for a tournament and return home to play Mt. Pleasant on Monday, April 27.
