King-Lynk Funeral Home obituary - Robert P. Horan, 95, Fort Madison

Posted

With grateful hearts for a long life, the family of Robert "Bob" Patrick Horan announces his peaceful passing on October 23, 2026 at the remarkable age of 95 at Birkwood Village in Fort Madison, IA.
Born during a vastly different era in Chicago, Illinois on October 15, 1931, Bob witnessed nearly a century of history. While he would often recall how several modern-day conveniences didn't exist, as an adult he prided himself with the most advanced technology and gadgets. Bob was a virtual cornucopia of information as he could speak to almost any subject.  He taught his children the value of hard work, kindness, and integrity.  He was an avid, bowler, golfer and had deep pride in his Chicago sports teams.
His legacy of kindness and resilience will live on through his surviving family: his children, Robinette (Larry Larsen), Vincent (Karen Horan), his 7 grandchildren; his 13 great-grandchildren and his sister in-law Sharon Horan. Bob's passing was preceded by both parents, Vincent & Violet Horan, stepfather, Louis Dade, his wife Trina and his brother Mike Horan.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory.  No services are planned.  Online condolences to the Horan family may be left at the King-Lynk Funeral Home & Crematory website: www.kinglynk.com.
