Sean A. Wielgat, 45, of Fort Madison, IA, passed away at 10:04 p.m. on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in Fort Madison, IA. He was born on June 26, 1979 in Kankakee, IL to Alan & Julie Moore Wielgat. He was a forklift driver for many years, lastly at a manufacturing plant in Mt. Pleasant, IA. He loved classic rock and played the guitar. He was in a band when he was younger and was a history buff. He was very knowledgeable about cars and steam trains.
Sean is survived by: his fiancé: Tamara Fross of Fort Madison, IA; 2-step children: Nichol Schimmel & Brittany Seaver; his mother & step father: Julie (Danny) Halama of Beecher, IL; his father: Alan Wielgat of Sheldon, IL; 1-sister: Alyssa (Daryl) Lewis of Grant Park, IL; 1-brother: Jeremy (Jennifer) Wielgat of Brownsburg, IN and 4-nieces: Madison, Anabelle, Winry & Riza. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
