Lady Hounds runners-up at Panther Relays

MT. PLEASANT – The Fort Madison Lady Hounds captured second place at the Panther Relays in Mt. Pleasant with 94 points, following the Panthers with 152.
The Bloodhounds racked up points in distance events with Avery and Addison Rump coming in 1^st and second in the 3000-meter run.
Other first-place finishes for the Hounds included Hailey Kemper in the 400-hurdles with a 1:09.60. That mark puts her in the top 40 in the state.
Brylie Lorence’s 37’10.25” heave in the shotput was also best at the relays. She took 2^nd in the discus with a spin of 103’6”
The 4x400 relay team of Mara Smith, Avery Rump, Kemper, and MaKayla Schinstock captured first with a 4:18.27, a full nine seconds in front of the field. The distance medley team of Schinstock, Olivia Buckner, Avery Rump, and Smith took 2^nd with a 4:32.91.
Addison Rump was second in the 1500 at 5:19.78.
