OFP installs new officers at annual meeting

FORT MADISON - Old Fort Players held their annual meeting on July 31^st and added several new members to the Board of Directors. New to the board, but not to the theater are Matt Abel, Jennifer Pranger and Mike Randolph. New officers were also elected. Elected to the office of President is Matt Abel, Vice President is Ty Clute, Secretary is Danelle Bauswell and Treasurer is Dorothy Schulte. Oscar Bauswell fills the new position of Junior Board Member.

In the coming months, the organization will be looking to fill the position of Youth Theater Director. Richar Abel will still be involved as Acting Coach, but a busy schedule will limit her time to organize and plan for the next annual Summer Program.

Old Fort Players is also looking for sponsors for the upcoming season. The community theater is in need of an experienced grant writer to help them take advantage of local grants to improve their patrons’ experience during the upcoming season.

Attendance at the 2022 Youth Summer Theatre was encouraging and the cast of “Four Old Broads” is hoping to ride that wave and perform for record crowds at the Fall Show that runs October 7-9 & 14-16.
