This free community event invites families to enjoy an evening of Halloween excitement, creative decorations, and trick-or-treating in a safe, family-friendly environment. Local businesses and organizations will decorate their vehicles and hand out candy, creating a fun experience for children and families throughout the community.
The event will take place in the YMCA parking lot at 220 26th Street, Fort Madison, Iowa. In the event of inclement weather, Trunk or Treat will move indoors to the YMCA gym.

For the safety of our trick-or-treaters, the YMCA parking lot will close to all nonparticipating vehicles at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, October 23. After that time, only vehicles belonging to participating Trunk or Treat vendors will be permitted in the lot. Please plan accordingly, as regular parking and vehicle access will not be available during the event.
We also ask that visitors and guests refrain from parking along 26th Street between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. due to the expected high volume of pedestrian traffic.
Guest parking will be available across the street at Holy Trinity Catholic High School. Please use the designated guest parking area and plan to walk along 26th Street to the YMCA for the event.
The annual event has become a favorite community tradition, bringing families and local organizations together to celebrate Halloween while creating lasting memories for children.
