DANVILLE – The Central Lee boys got their second win of the year this time on the road at Danville.
Will Hayes had his best outing of the year to date with 21 points to lead the Hawks. Seventeen of those came in the first half as Danville couldn’t seem to find an answer for Central Lee’s big man.
A halftime adjustment kept Hayes under control, but then the Hawks got busy from outside seven 3-balls in the half that erased a 1-point Hawk deficit at the break.
Central Lee opened the second half with a 7-0 run and ran off a 14-1 advantage in the third period to set the tone for the remainder of the game. The Bears wouldn’t get closer than 13 the rest of the way.
Kaden Swan had seven points in the win, while Carson Morrison and Brett Cook eached added six.
