Patricia “Patty” Young, 67, of Hamilton, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at her home in Hamilton.
Patty was born on May 6, 1959, in Carthage, Illinois, the daughter of Irvin Leland Bell and Edda (Jump) Bloyd. She graduated from Warsaw High School, and began working at Henniges Automotive in 1988, retiring in 2016.
Patty was a mother figure to everyone and cared for her family deeply. Whenever they needed her, Patty was there. She helped raise many members of her family and kept everyone in line. Her big heart, kind nature and sweet personality will forever be remembered.
Patty is survived by her long-time partner Gregory “Buddy” Gail of Hamilton; her children: Michael (Tabitha) Gail, Matthew (Tamara) Gail, Dennis (Terra) Gail, Christopher Gail, Derek (Kayla) Gail and Ashley Gail; her sister Jennifer (Kevin) Lee; and her nieces and nephews: Jason (Tiffany) Baxter, Ashley Samuels, Thomas (Christine) Clark, Kayla Clark, Brennan and Rachel Lee, and Morgan Lee. Other survivors include several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Patty is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Randy Bell and her sister Debbie Clark.
A private family service will be held with burial following at Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.
