Reader says Mohrfeld has shown commitment

I am voting for Matt Mohrfeld for Iowa House District 100 representative and I hope you will do the same.
We need a proven leader and innovator in the Iowa State House to assist in setting Iowa on a new direction of positivity.
Matt is a proven business leader. He has run a very successful greenhouse for many years. As the mayor of Fort Madison Matt helped to guide the city through street and sidewalk improvements. He was part of the system that managed city funds to the betterment of city employees and residents.
As mayor he saw the tired and silt filled marina and had a vision. His vision was more than just dredging out the marina and simply reinstalling the old docks. His innovative plan included dredging the marina, installing new covered boat docks, reworking the walking/biking path at the river’s edge and constructing a wonderful restaurant  complete with outside dining and a room for large gatherings.  Matt worked with community members and multiple funding sources to turn this dream into a reality.  These improvements have become a welcome asset to Fort Madison and are now enjoyed by boaters, visitors and community members.
Because of his vision, the Fort Madison Mississippi Riverfront is outstanding and ranks as one of the best Mississippi River fronts in Iowa.
Matt Morhfeld is a person who sees a need and steps up with solution. When his son was little and the YMCA needed a swim coach, Matt stepped up. He stepped up to serve on the Lee County Board of Supervisors. He stepped up to serve as mayor of Fort Madison for three terms  and now he is stepping up to serve the 100th District in the Iowa House of Representatives. With your vote, this will happen and I am confident that Matt Mohrfeld will represent us well.
