LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Reader supports Greenwald for Supervisor

Posted

I have known Chris Greenwald for nearly 30 years. In that time I have watched him build a business in Fort Madison, serve his community as a city councilman, and put on a badge as a reserve police officer. Chris has never been someone who talks about commitment — he demonstrates it, consistently, over decades.
That is exactly why I am supporting him for Lee County Board of Supervisors.
Lee County is at a crossroads. The potential of a major steel plant coming to this area, ongoing questions about taxes and spending, and the need for responsible development that protects residents — these are not small issues. They require a supervisor who shows up, asks the hard questions, and sees things through.
Lee County voters know that his opponent vacated the seat mid-term. That matters. When you send someone to represent you, you deserve a full commitment. Chris Greenwald has demonstrated that kind of commitment his entire life — to his business, to his family, and to this community.

After 30 years of watching this man operate — in business, in public service, and in this community — I can tell you with confidence that Lee County will be well served by him. He is the real thing.
I urge Lee County voters to cast their ballot for Chris Greenwald for Board of Supervisors.
