I am writing in support of Matt Mohrfeld in his bid to represent southeast Iowa in the Iowa House of Representatives.
I have known Matt for 30 years and have worked with him to promote and develop Lee County when he was on the Lee County Board of Supervisors and I was with the Riverbend Regional Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Lee County Economic Development Office.  Throughout his decades of public service, Matt has shown the ability to be an effective connector, someone who brings people together to get things done.
Matt has a proven record of creating jobs as a successful business owner, navigating complex issues as a Lee County Supervisor and Ft. Madison Mayor, and getting out and talking to the people of Lee County.  (He’s been everywhere this year)!   That kind of dedication, energy and drive is what we need to represent southeast Iowa in the Des Moines Statehouse.
Matt will make sure southeast Iowa has the strongest voice possible for the important issues facing our district.  He is who I trust to navigate these complexities, keep us all informed and represent our interests.

I’ve lived in other cities around the Midwest, I’ve seen what’s possible for a growing, thriving community, and I’ve realized that Iowa is where I want to be.  So ultimately, I decided to move back to my hometown for the quality of life it provides.  Matt understands the importance of preserving that quality of life through healthy communities, advancements in education and training for our young people and economic development opportunities.  He truly loves Southeast Iowa and it shows in his words, actions and good deeds.
Get out and vote, and when you do, I encourage you to vote for Matt Mohrfeld for the Iowa House of Representatives.
