Reader says county needs real leaders

Editor:

What does SE Iowa need? In my opinion, we need more/better employment options, an easier path to small business ownership, more/better housing options, lower taxes, more/better choices for digital technology (i.e. cell phone, internet, etc), and definitely need access to upgraded infrastructure.
But none of this will happen without two main things: the best schools and healthcare. No one--be it corporate or individuals--will invest their future in an area with subpar schools and diminishing healthcare options.
If you agree with me, I encourage you to support and vote for candidates that are speaking to those issues loud and strong. We need representatives that will not "follow the leader" because it is what their political party tells them. We need representatives that will "BE the leader" DESPITE what their political party tells them!
