Reader says Mohrfeld has qualities to lead

Dear Editor:
I am writing to share my support for Matt Mohrfeld as he seeks to represent southeast Iowa in the Iowa House of Representatives.
Matt has spent many years serving our community and region, including his time as mayor of Fort Madison and as a county supervisor. Throughout his public service, he has demonstrated a willingness to work hard for everyone, listen to different perspectives, and bring people together to get things done.
I have had the opportunity to personally work with Matt on the development of the pickleball courts at Victory Park. Matt was supportive of the project from the beginning, offered thoughtful ideas, and helped us build community support. His involvement demonstrated the kind of collaborative leadership that makes a difference in our hometown.
Matt understands the importance of economic growth and development and what it takes to create opportunities for our communities. Having grown up here, he knows our area, understands our people, and appreciates the values and work ethic that make southeast Iowa special.

Matt has a record of service, a commitment to working with others, and a genuine connection to the people and places he would represent. I believe he would be a strong advocate not only for our region but for communities throughout Iowa.  Leadership is earned through service, hard work, and a willingness to step forward when the community needs it. Matt has demonstrated those qualities over many years of business ownership and public service.
I encourage you to vote for Matt Mohrfeld for the Iowa House of Representatives!!!
