Readers support Matt Mohrfeld for State Rep.

We are writing in support of Matt Mohrfeld for State Representative in District 100.
We have known Matt and his family for many years. Monica went to high school with one of his sisters and has known Matt since he was a young boy. He grew up in a large farm family with deep roots in Lee County. They were honest, hardworking people of good character, the salt of the earth, and Matt carries those same values. He cares about this community.
For many years, Matt ran the Greenhouse and Flower Cottage. Whenever we needed a gift, a plant to send to someone, or our flowers for spring planting, we went to Matt. His farm background showed in the healthy plants he grew and the care he put into his business. Our community is rooted in agriculture, and Matt understands that.
Matt also served three successful terms as mayor of Fort Madison. Through Bill’s volunteer work in the community, when he had questions for the city, Matt always took his call. That was true for everyone. Matt listened to people, took their concerns seriously, and followed through.
